An Outstanding Sixth Form College in Birmingham is seeking a compassionate and intellectually curious Religious Studies graduate to join their team as a Graduate Academic Learning Coach. You’ll support students both academically and emotionally—particularly those with additional needs—helping them engage with complex ideas and navigate their own beliefs, questions, and futures.
Whether you’re guiding a discussion, helping students articulate their thoughts in writing, or just offering a quiet, steady presence—you’ll be part of something deeply meaningful.
📖 What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups with Religious Studies and Humanities subjects.

Helping students develop critical thinking, essay writing, and reflection skills.

Working closely with teachers and the SENCo to support learners with a range of needs.

Encouraging respectful dialogue, curiosity, and compassion in the classroom.

Supporting students’ wellbeing and personal growth during a key stage in their development.
🎓 You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

Hold a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related field (2:2 or above).

Are passionate about helping young people understand themselves and others.

Communicate with clarity, sensitivity, and respect for different viewpoints.
