An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form College in Birmingham is looking for a motivated and reflective graduate to join their team as a Graduate Academic Learning Coach. In this role, you’ll work closely with students—especially those with additional needs—helping them develop critical thinking, communication skills, and the confidence to engage in meaningful discussion and academic work.
Whether you’re simplifying essay structures, supporting revision, or encouraging a student to find their voice in a debate—you’ll be a valued part of their journey.
🏺 What You’ll Be Doing

Providing 1:1 and small group support in History, Politics, and related subjects.

Helping students strengthen their writing, argumentation, and analysis skills.

Supporting learners with SEN or emotional needs under teacher and SENCo guidance.

Encouraging thoughtful debate, curiosity, and discussion in and beyond the classroom.

Fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment where students feel safe to contribute.
🎓 You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

Hold a degree in History, Politics, International Relations, or a related field (2:2 or above).

Have a genuine passion for learning, discussion, and helping others achieve their potential.

Communicate clearly, think critically, and enjoy working one-on-one or in small groups.
