An Outstanding Sixth Form College in Birmingham is looking for a Criminology graduate with empathy, insight, and drive to join their team as a Graduate Academic Learning Coach. You’ll support students who face barriers to learning—especially those with additional needs or social, emotional, or behavioural challenges—helping them stay focused, feel understood, and realise their potential.
Whether it’s guiding a student through complex topics, helping them regulate emotions, or being someone they trust when things feel overwhelming, you’ll be part of the support system that keeps them moving forward.
👥 What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups across Humanities and Social Science subjects.

Helping students understand and manage behaviour, routines, and learning goals.

Building strong, professional relationships with learners who may need emotional or behavioural support.

Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and the SENCo to support a wide range of needs.

Promoting inclusion, empathy, and a sense of belonging within the classroom.
🎓 You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

Hold a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related subject (2:2 or above).
