In this pivotal role, you will be helping to shape the future of students, providing essential classroom cover and support in the absence of their regular teacher. What You Need:
- A degree with a 2:2 classification or above
- Strong ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Professionalism, trustworthiness, and a positive, ethical attitude
- A motivational mindset with resourcefulness and flexibility
- Confidence to manage a classroom and build rapport with students
What You Can Expect:
- Supervision of students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring smooth classroom operations
- Registration and management of student attendance
- Guiding students through pre-set work and activities
- Maintaining a calm and orderly classroom environment, managing behaviour constructively
- Responding to student inquiries and keeping them on task
- Handling immediate issues according to school policies and procedures
- Liaising with subject teachers about cover work and student behaviour
- Supporting students in the classroom as directed by the teacher, including individual or group support
- Assisting with examination invigilation and other duties as needed
